EDEN AREA DAY CAMP
While swimming and singing, on nature hikes and field trips, counselors at the Eden Area YMCA day camp help kids develop good values and have fun year after year. Campers make new friends, build new skills and grow in self-reliance. They are on the move with activities that include sports, field trips around the Bay Area, swim days and hands-on craft projects. Your child will make memories to last a lifetime!
Incorporating the YMCA’s core values of caring, responsibility, honesty and respect into our Day Camp program gives campers the chance to learn about themselves and their community in a safe and supportive atmosphere—all while having the time of their lives! Whether its sports, games or outdoor activities or creative art, music and special events, Day Camp activities will spark campers’ interest and imagination Weekly themes add a special touch to each camp session.
Discovery Camp (entering grades K – 1)
This is an exciting introduction to the day camp experience for younger campers. Our well-trained staff leads small groups through an engaging program designed to develop character, values, social skills and creativity. Campers do a variety of age-appropriate activities including arts and crafts, music, water play, fitness, group play and local field trips.
Explorer Camp (entering grades 2 – 3)
Get ready for a summer of exploration and fun! Explorer Camp is packed full of activities designed specifically for younger campers. Led by our enthusiastic staff, campers will participate in sports and fitness activities, water play, arts and crafts, music and local field trips all intended to support the child’s learning and growth.
Adventure Camp (entering grades 4 – 6)
Adventure Camp keeps campers busy while providing opportunities to meet new friends and learn important life skills. Adventure campers can expect a summer full of fun, friends and memories made in organized activities that build self-esteem and promote social behavior. Activities include swimming, arts and crafts, songs, skits, sports, games and adventure-filled field trips.
Movin’ On Camp (entering grades 7 – 8)
Movin’ On Camp meets the needs of younger teens with activities designed just for them. It introduces campers to new friendships and experiences. Campers devote time each week to group development, individual character development and self-esteem building. They spend the rest of their time making new friends and enjoying YMCA day camp activities such as exciting field trips, swimming, sports and fitness, arts and crafts and more!
Camper in Leadership Training (entering grades 9 – 12)
Teens who want to be camp counselors someday should not miss out on our Camper in Leadership Training (CILT) program. CILT is an advanced program for youth in grades 9 through 12. It is a great opportunity for exceptional teens to develop their leadership skills. The program provides hands-on learning, allowing participants to work into responsible roles leading children’s activities. Our trained staff helps teens develop their communication and organization skills. CILT candidates must provide a letter of recommendation from an adult (besides a parent) who knows the candidate well. Space is limited so apply today!

Cost
We offer a three-tier rate structure that is based on the actual cost of camp, while still enabling families with financial challenges the same quality camp experience for their children. No paperwork or verification is required; simply select the rate appropriate for you. The information is completely confidential.
Tier 1-$205
This tier is based on the full cost of campers participating in the selected programs. This rate reflects the actual cost of sending a camper to the program. If you are able to pay this amount please do so. Thank you
Tier 2-$195
This tier is partially subsidized rate that will help families who can’t afford the full coast of the program. Choose this rate if your family has the need to receive a subsidized rate.
Tier 3-$185
This tier is more heavily subsidized rate for families who need further assistance to send children to camp. Choose this rate if your family has the need.
